The unprecedented development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought an era of drastic change in EFL teaching with its curriculum. Language models (ChatGPT), adaptive learning systems, and AI-powered multimedia tools promise of dynamic, customized engagement for individual learners: Interactive Capable of meeting the needs of diverse learners. This paper looks at the role of AI in EFL courses, such as accessibility to extra learning, personalization, and management facilitation of the teaching activity. Applying qualitative descriptive strategy and thematic content analysis, the present study presents the major trends of AI in educational systems based on six focus peer-reviewed studies (published over 2018-2024). Results demonstrate that AI technologies have the potential to enhance the quality of students' curriculum through automatically personalized learning style, generated automatic course contents and quick feedback, avoid teachers' workload, and make students more engaged. Nonetheless, there are obstacles such as limited access to technology, high application cost, ethical concerns, and inadequate teacher training that need to be addressed. In summary, AI is a disruptive solution to inclusive, effective, and globally relevant curriculum design. Further investment in teacher training, ethical AI guidelines, and technology access for all would be required to realize the potential of AI in English language curriculum development.
